Fall in love with the outdoors this February!

This time of year seems to be all romance, roses, chocolate and cringey cards… great for some but not everyone’s cup of tea. At outmore ni we’ve got 1000’s of trails for you to fall in love with, whether you’re getting out with the gals, pals or your valentine. It doesn’t all have to be long walks on the beach either! If you’re stuck for an activity to spend with your galentines, palentines or valentines date, Outmore NI has the perfect escape.

To make it even better, it’s half term! So if the commercial holiday really isn’t your thing, focus on the school holidays and get out more!

Caffeine Lovers

Sometimes there’s no better pair than a coffee and a walk, and thanks to Barista Bar, you’re never too far away from a warming cup of coffee. There’s a great list over on WalkNI but we think you’ll like a trip to the Sperrins scenery by visiting Gortin Lakes. There’s the option of walking the off-road trails or venturing into the Forest Park for a longer walk.

Dog Lovers

Instagram Lovers

The giants of gortin glen forest park offer the perfect opportunity to wow your followers with an awesome instagram post this February. Gortin Glen offers a wide variety of walking and mountain bike trails for all abilities. The giant on the cairn is at the summit of Mullaghcarn, the 370th highest mountain in Ireland, just 3.1 miles south of Gortin.

Mountain Lovers

Why not tackle a couple mountains this February with the Hen, Cock and Pigeon Rock route in the western mournes. This is a circular route that will see you summit 3 Mourne peaks, all while being surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery Northern Ireland has to offer. Ensure you bring the right kit, as parts of this route can be damp and boggy, especially at this time of year!

Water Lovers

How about a paddle down the Blackwater Canoe Trail. This stunning canoe trail is suitable for all abilities and is sure to make for an idyllic weekend out for the family. This river meanders lazily through the countryside from Maydown Bridge all the way through to Lough Neagh, with county armagh on your right-hand side and County Tyrone on your left.

Enjoy getting out more this half term, whoever you choose to spend it with!
