The facility offers a restaurant, barbeque are, all-inclusive kids play area, picnic sites, Changing Places facility and the Ballyronan Wood Nature Trail. This location lends itself to various outdoor activities and pursuits, and the marina is ideal for any watersports enthusiast. The area also hosts many events and festivals, including rallies, and the popular Lough Neagh Triathlon.
Caravan and camping facilities are also present at Ballyronan Marina betweetn March and September. There is also on-water glamping pods.
As Ballyronan Marina is on the shores of Lough Neagh, it can be affected by the hatching at certain times of the year of the Lough Neagh Fly, a harmless, non-biting midge which is a natural phenomenon and provides food for migratory birds. In its larval form the midge is also the key food source of wintering wildfowl.
