Outdoor Places
Slieve Gullion in Armagh is an extinct volcano with a lake at its summit.
County Armagh is Northern Ireland's smallest county but this doesn't mean there's a shortage of places to explore. Create a perfect family day out at Gosford Forest Park with its family adventure trail and range of walking and mountain biking trails or visit the southern shores of Lough Neagh at Oxford Island Discovery Centre. For something more "off the beaten track" why not visit the Newry Canal Towpath, a restored towpath of the former Newry Canal, suitable for walking and cycling or take a trip to Clare Glen, a beautiful wood along the banks of the River Cusher on the outskirts of Tandragee.
