Castle Coole is a National Trust estate not far from Enniskillen town. Surrounded by 700 acres of stunning parkland and extensive woodland which slopes down to Lough Coole, making it ideal for family walks. The estate also features a magnificent 18th Century mansion house,restored to its original grandeur in the 1980s.
At Castle Coole, visitors can enjoy the Beech Wood Walk, a tranquil walk through the unspoilt Beech, Oak and Scots Pine woodland which forms an important back drop to the mansion house and contains the oldest trees in the park. Walkers will pass the recently restored Ice House and can enjoy splendid views of Topped Mountain from the top of the slopes.
In the grounds you can also see the Grand Yard, the Servants’ Tunnel, the dairy, stable and laundry house as well as the mansion house with its sumptuous Regency interior.
