The forest park offers beautiful walk, exhilarating runs and some spectacular outdoor activities within its 200 acres of scenic woodland, grassland, waterfalls and ponds. It is often referred to as Belfast's 'green lung' and is home to a range of wildlife – a real wilderness in the heart of Belfast. The beautiful wooded glen features a 4 mile riverside walk following the Colin River through the beautiful wooded glen on surfaced paths to experience the great views of the glen, the Belfast Hills (Black Mountain) and Belfast City.

Its Outdoor Activity Centre provides makes the park a place for all the family to come and find something to enjoy and learn more about local environmental matters, environmental education, volunteering and the history of the Park. The centres features ‘SKYtrek’, an award winning high and low ropes course with 50m zipline and fan descender, kayaking, raft building, lazer tag, zorbing and many other exciting activities.
The Colin Glen Multi Sports Complex is less than a mile away with a 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range, 3G multisport Pitches and Gymnasium.
