Derrynoyd Forest

Derrynoyd Road Draperstown BT45 7DW, Londonderry

Located beside the busy rural town of Draperstown, at the foot of the Sperrins, Derrynoid Forest is over 100 hectares of secluded forest woodland. The forest is predominantly a broadleaved forest which was planted since 1948.

The forest was a private residence of Judge Torren after it was built in 1809. Two walking routes are present on site, one through the mian wooded area and one along the Moyola River.

GETTING THERE

Take the Derrynoyd Road from the village of Draperstown, the entrance to the Derrynoyd Centre car park is on the right, 1.2 km after the outskirts of the village.
