This is a mixed coniferous and broadleaved forest planted within the walls of the large park, once part of Hillsborough Demesne. The tree fringed lake attracts a wide variety of wildfowl.
Bird life is rich and varied and larger mammals, including foxes and badgers, may also be seen. There are two waymarked trails leading around the lake and Fox Fort rath. Fishing, by permit only. Images supplied by Forest Service NI.
From Hillsborough follow Main Street to Dromore Road. The entrance to the forest is signposted left (Park Street).
