Redburn Country Park

Old Holywood Road Belfast, Down

Redburn Country Park is set on a beautiful escarpment overlooking Belfast Lough. There are 7km of pathways and the climb to the top will be rewards you with spectacular, breath-taking and panoramic views of Belfast and the south Antrim hills.

The picturesque park offers pleasant walk in all seasons. In springtime in particular the woodland is carpeted with bluebells, wood sorrel, and anemones.

The woods are also home to a huge variety of birds such as tits and finches. During summertime, willow warblers and blackcaps are often found in the scrub and gorse at the top of the hill. In the open glades, rabbits are regularly spotted around. The park has a resident population of red squirrel. 

GETTING THERE

There are three entrances to the park on the Old Holywood Road, the main vehicular access is opposite Palace Barracks.
