GETTING TO THE START

Ballywalter is situated on the Irish Sea coast of the Ards Peninsula, 11 miles outside of Newtownards. It can be reached by car from Newtownards, via Greyabbey. Leaving Newtownards, follow the Portaferry Road out of the town. Continue on this road (A20) until you reach Greyabbey. At the mini-roundabout turn left and follow the main street until you reach the T-junction. Turn right here and follow the signs for Ballywalter.

    Lime Kilns, The old Anderson shelter, the Perch and Shipwrecks, harbour, lifeboat and skulmartin lightship, war memorial and square, Presbyterian Church, Holy Trinity Church of Ireland, Whitechurch and Graveyard

    Car parking is available free of charge around Ballywalter Toilets are also available in the village Refreshments are also available along the route.
