Highway to Health, Larne Walk 2
This is a signed walk starting at Larne Leisure Centre, along the Promenade, to the Coast Road to Carnfunnock Country Park. Dogs to be kept on a lead.
This urban walk is part of the Highway to Health Scheme - a simple and innovative scheme which aims to encourage people of all ages to walk for leisure and good health. It uses pole signs at one kilometre intervals on an established route.
TRAIL INFORMATION
Walk 2 is 5.42 km. It also proceeds along the Promenade then follows the Coast Road north via the Black Arch and Drains Bay where it leaves the road and follows the path into Carnfunnock Country Park. Both walks can be walked in either direction and joined at any point.

GETTING TO THE START
- Point of Interest Views of the coast and North Channel. Promenade fitness trail. Carnfunnock Country Park.
- Facilities Toilets at Agnew Street and Narrow Gauge Road, Larne and Carnfunnock Country Park. Refreshments available in the Prom Cafe within the Leisure Centre, cafes in Larne town and at Carnfunnock Country Park from mid March to September and weekends in October.
- Dog Policy Dogs are allowed but must be kept under control.
- Getting to the Start Parking available adjacent to Larne Leisure Centre.
