Highway to Health, Mater Hospital, The Academy Walk
This urban walk is part of the Highway to Health Scheme - a simple and innovative scheme which aims to encourage people of all ages to walk for leisure and good health. It uses pole signs at one kilometre intervals on an established route.
The walk is around the Mater Hospital area to aid health promotion to staff, patients and visitors
TRAIL INFORMATION
Leaving from the McAuley building at the Mater Hospital, walk from Annesley Street to Antrim Road, keeping left onto the Cliftonville Road. Turn left again at Oldpark Avenue, and then again onto Oldpark Road. Finally, continue until you reach the Crumlin Road and finish again at the McAuley building.
