The Lagan and Lough Cycle Way on National Cycle Network Route number 93 and 9 is a 21 mile mostly traffic-free cycle and walking route connecting Lisburn, Belfast and Jordanstown. The route is suitable for novice and family cyclists of all ages and abilities and passes along the waterside of the Lagan Towpath and Belfast Lough.

TRAIL INFORMATION

The route begins at Loughshore Park in Jordanstown. Begin cycling through Whiteabbey village and stop at Hazelbank Park for picture perfect views across Belfast Lough. Continue along North Foreshore Path to Donegal Quay. Follow the River Lagan through the city enjoying the cityscape views with the Belfast Hills as the backdrop. Keeping to the banks of the River Lagan, you will pass a number of public parks including the National Trust property at Minnowburn and the historic Giant's Ring archaeological site. Continuing through Lagan Valley Regional Park the route finishes up at the Union Docks in Lisburn, on National Route 9. **From Whiteabbey to Queen’s Bridge Belfast, this section follows National Route 93 and from Queen’s Bridge Belfast to Lisburn it follows National Route 9**
