Mourne Foods Cycle Trail
The 'Mourne Foods Cycle Trail' is a group of local producers that have linked together, to showcase the wonderful artisan food in this area of Northern Ireland. Stop off with local producers, hear their stories, get the chance to buy directly from the farmer, and then store your provisions in the specially provided bike panniers all adds to this unique memorable experience. A free shuttle bus takes you to the start point at Spelga Dam in the heart of the Mournes and from there it is all downhill through the beautiful Shimna valley and back down to the Irish Sea in Newcastle.
