Scarva Park provides a quiet retreat for walking and relaxing in a tranquil environment. With a pond full of inquisitive waterfowl, small wooded areas and open grasslands the park is a hive of activity for native biodiversity. Visitors can learn all about the local wildlife by following the walking paths and reading the interpretive panels filled with facts and information, there are even wooden animal sculptures along the way. The popular park is always busy as children use the play park and the football pitch is always lively with local teams and football enthusiasts.

TRAIL INFORMATION

Start your walk next to the car park heading towards the children's play area. Here you start to climb a short but steep hill which may leave you a little out of breath. Take a seat on one of the many picnic benches and take in the beautiful view. Next head downhill towards the pond. Keeping the pond on your right hand side you will soon be back to the start.

GETTING TO THE START

From Scarva town follow the Legananny Road heading towards Loughbrickland. The Park is 1 minute by car or 8 minutes walking. Turn left just before Scarva Presbyterian Church Hall. Translink – journeyplanner.translink.co.uk via Scarva Train Station.
