The Big Garden Birdwatch is this Weekend!

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch is back, inviting people across Northern Ireland to spend a little time outdoors and help nature in a big way.

Recognised as the world’s largest garden wildlife survey, Big Garden Birdwatch sees hundreds of thousands of people come together each year to count the birds they see in their gardens, local green spaces, balconies or parks. The information collected helps build a national picture of how our garden birds are doing and highlights which species may be struggling.

Taking part is easy. All you need to do is choose one hour during the Birdwatch weekend, note the birds you spot, and submit your results online. Whether you’re an experienced birdwatcher or just enjoy watching wildlife from your window, every count matters.

It’s a brilliant excuse to slow down and reconnect with nature, whilst also playing a small but meaningful role in protecting the wildlife that shares our outdoor spaces.
