The Exciting New Additions to OutmoreNI.com

Meet the newest categories to your favourite outdoor website!

OutmoreNI has added a staggering three new categories to it’s online collection of places and trails. They are, ‘Historic Places’ and ‘Watersides’ for outdoor places, and ‘Horse Riding’ as a new trail category.

OutmoreNI is on a mission to be your most indepth and user friendly resource for finding amazing places in Northern Ireland’s beautiful outdoors – and we’ve just taken another big step towards that with the creation of these new categories.

Historic Places – Places

Feeling like a cultural day out? Historic places are locations in the outdoors that are guaranteed to take you out of time, whether that’s at a historic location like Hillsborough Castle – home to both recent historic events and those from hundreds of years ago – or somewhere like An Creagán which showcases archaeology and stories of the land from centuries prior.

Watersides – Places

A popular request from followers for some time, ‘Watersides’ are simply walks which follow along beside a body of water. This could be a lough, river or even along the sea. The important distinction is that they are not beaches, which have their own filter.

Places like Swann’s Bridge on the north coast, which is an idea picnic spot, or Kinnego Bay beside Lough Neagh, are two such examples of where to enjoy an outdoor waterside experience.

These waterside walks are an opportunity to get some ‘blue exposure’, alongside the green. Walking near the water has a calming effect for many people and OutmoreNI has now made it easier than ever to find these affecting spots.

Horse RidingTrails

We’re sure this one is self explanatory, but again it makes OutmoreNI’s resources that bit more thorough for all outdoors lovers. Horse riding has long been a popular past time in Northern Ireland and we’re confident that this trail category will allow riders to find more places to enjoy getting outdoor with their four legged companions.

You can find shorter bridleways like that at Drumee Cemetary or longer multi-use trails like Castle Ward’s 7.5 mile Hoof Trail, amongst others now.

For all of these trail and place categories, please visit OutmoreNI.com. And ensure to recommend us to your friends if you feel they would benefit from it!
