Winner and Runners Up of the Get Outmore Photo Competition!

As part of the ‘Get Outmore’ campaign, we asked the public to send us their favourite outdoor pictures from across Northern Ireland. Unsurprisingly, you delievered! Over 100 incredible entries slipped into our inbox over the past month of people enjoying nature. So much so that it led to a bit of a row in our office in the shortlisting!

Ultimately though, the OutmoreNI team has selected the following runners up (including one very special honourable mention), followed by the overall winner who walks away with a £100 Marks & Spencer voucher.

Without any further ado…

Jordan Miles sent us this epic photo of the Mournes in the snow.

Lost Flâneur sent us this picture on Facebook. We loved the mood this conjured – Tourism NI, if you need a photographer, look this way!

This shot from Richard Manu is breathtaking. The colours, the sole bike rider, the angles. Loved it!

This picture, sent to us from Graham Rennie, deserves a special honourary mention. In it, Graham’s son Lewis is reaching the peak of Slieve Donard, completing the climb at age 6 in memory of his little brother Callum, who sadly passed away in 2022. Callum was just 3 when he died.

Since then, Lewis has raised over £20,000 from different walking and hiking challenges, in part for their families registered charity, The Big C Foundation NI.

If you would like to donate to The Big C Foundation NI (named so after Callum’s nickname, ‘Big C’) you can do so here: https://www.bigcfoundationni.com/donate-fundraise

And finally, on to our winner:

Huge congratulations to Declan Carroll, who sent in this other-worldly photograph from the Mournes. We loved the lighting and backdrop in this photo, and thought it captured the rugged promise of adventure of the outdoors. That Marks and Spencer voucher is on it’s way to you now Declan – enjoy!

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their snapshots of our amazing outdoors. By celebrating your experiences, OutmoreNI hopes to inspire more people to step outside, boost their health and protect the nature we all cherish.
